We all hit that point where the mind and body just need a reset. Writing, creating, and building ideas takes energy, and if we don’t recharge, the creativity starts running on fumes.

One of my favorite ways to recharge is through music—specifically my dark cello music. When I feel mentally drained, I step away from the computer, put on my headphones, and shut out all distractions. I just let the music play and allow it to calm my soul, relax my inner core, and settle my aura. There’s something powerful about those deep cello tones that quiet the mind and bring everything back into balance.

Another way I reset is by going to the gym. About thirty minutes on the treadmill while listening to motivational music or speeches really clears my mind. It’s like hitting a reset button for my thoughts and energy.

But my absolute favorite way to recharge is hiking. There’s nothing quite like being out in nature. Recently, my wife and I decided to make Mondays our date day. We’ve been going on hikes together to explore waterfalls and different places around the Adirondacks. It’s become a special time for us to unplug, reset, recharge, and grow together while enjoying the beauty around us.

Recharging isn’t just about rest—it’s about finding the things that bring your mind and spirit back into alignment.

How do YOU recharge when life or creativity drains your energy?
