There’s something both terrifying and exhilarating about voicing our wishes out loud. Will speaking them make them real, or will they drift away like whispers in the wind? I choose to believe in the power of putting dreams into words—because once spoken, they become a path forward.
This year, my greatest wish is to finish my BA in English and Creative Writing and take the next step into my MFA program. But it’s more than just a degree—it’s a commitment to my passion, my craft, and the future I’m building. I’ve applied for an internship with W.W. Norton and Company in their college book publishing department, an opportunity that could shape everything I want to do. The idea of being part of the publishing process, learning the ins and outs, and contributing to the literary world excites me beyond words.
But my journey doesn’t stop there. I want to complete my MFA, earn my teaching certificate, and step into the role of an online creative writing professor—perhaps at SNHU or another institution where I can help aspiring writers find their voices. And in between lectures and lessons, I’ll be pouring my heart into finishing my novels, bringing my storytelling to life, and finally sharing my words with the world.
These dreams are bold, and the road ahead is long, but I believe in them. I believe in the stories waiting to be told and the lessons waiting to be taught. Every wish is a step toward something greater, and I’m ready to chase mine.
So tell me—what’s on your wishlist? What dreams are you speaking into existence? Let’s make them happen together.
